Raised Floor Rejuvenation
Raised Floor Rejuvenation & Raised Access Floor Cleaning
Raised access floors carry cooling air, cabling, and foot traffic. PTFS restores panel surfaces and cleans the system as a whole — rejuvenation above the floor, contamination removal below it.
What Is Raised Floor Rejuvenation?
Raised floor rejuvenation is the process of deep cleaning and restoring the finish of raised access floor panels: removing embedded soil, scuffing, adhesive residue, and dust from panel surfaces, seams, and perforated tiles, then treating the surface so it holds up to traffic and cart loads.
It is done panel by panel in sequenced work areas so floor stability, grid integrity, and airflow are maintained throughout.
Raised Access Floor Cleaning Above and Below
Surface rejuvenation without subfloor cleaning leaves the contamination source in place. PTFS pairs the two: panels are lifted under control, the plenum is vacuumed with HEPA-filtered equipment, and panels are cleaned and reset in position.
Perforated tile openings, grommets, and cable cutouts get specific attention, since these are the paths dust travels into the room.
Typical Raised Floor Scope
- Panel surface deep cleaning and finish rejuvenation
- Seam, edge, and perforated tile detail cleaning
- Controlled panel lifting, sequencing, and reset
- HEPA-filtered subfloor plenum vacuuming
- Grommet, cutout, and cable pathway cleaning
Scope is customized per facility based on access requirements, schedule, and site conditions.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is raised floor rejuvenation?
- Raised floor rejuvenation is the deep cleaning and finish restoration of raised access floor panels — removing embedded soil, scuffs, residue, and dust from panel surfaces, seams, and perforated tiles, usually paired with HEPA-filtered subfloor cleaning underneath.
- Does the room have to be shut down?
- Usually not. Work is sequenced in small areas so only a limited number of panels are lifted at a time, keeping the floor stable and airflow within acceptable limits.
