What Subfloor Cleaning Removes
Plenums collect drywall dust, cable jacket shavings, zip-tie ends, insulation fibers, packaging fragments, and years of settled particulate. Crews vacuum with HEPA-filtered equipment, wipe pedestals and stringers where accessible, and bag debris for removal off the floor.
Abandoned cable and material removal can be included when your facility team has cleared it for disposal.
Why It Belongs in a Cleaning Program
Air handlers pressurize the plenum, so anything loose below the panels ends up moving toward perforated tiles and into cabinets. Cleaning above the floor while leaving the plenum untouched simply recirculates the problem.
